Web picture of the week!
I love all things space and universe. It is truly one of the last frontiers. It is so vast, there is no way we could ever know all that there is to know about the great mysteries in outer space. The photo above is of Cat's paw Nebula, a very active star nursery in our galaxy. Is that amazing or what! Although extremely massive, hot and violent, it is a beautiful testiment of the beginning of life. This image captures a 50-light-years-wide swath of swirling gas and dust that is home to several tens of thousands of young stars, including brand new blue stars just a few million years old! Awww, how cute is that,(and scary given the extreme condition in which a star is born!) at a few million years old, they are barely youngsters!
